João Carlos N. Bittencourt is an Assistant Professor at the Center of Exact Sciences and Technology (CETEC) at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB), Brazil. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has dedicated his career to advancing research in Smart Cities, Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, and Reconfigurable Hardware Accelerators.
As an educator and researcher, Professor Bittencourt contributes to multiple undergraduate programs including Computer Engineering (ECP), Electrical Engineering (EELE), and Exact Sciences and Technology (BCET). His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical applications, fostering innovation in emerging technologies that address real-world challenges.
